Use of a machine that measures ETCO2 (End Tidal Co2), the amount of Carbon Dioxide in exhaled air. This is a very accurate measurement of breathing ability, as it is non-subjective. This measurement is a way of calibrating the degree of Breathing Pattern Disorder that a person may be experiencing. Interpreting Capnograph wave forms is a specialist and skilled task that people in NMG are trained in.
