Unresolved Emotions - grief anger resentment

Mr Stefan Chmelik on Unresolved emotions (grief, anger, resentment, fear)

Although negative emotions are as old as mankind, the nature of modern society tends to allow for less expression of many emotions in a healthy way. Most emotions have a positive need and function, but when held onto or not expressed at the time of the event they are related to, they can become a cause for deep unhappiness.

By working with the body as much as the mind (the body-mind), it is possible to move stuck feelings, enabling you to process them in a healthy way and move on with your life.

The type of support people need can vary, but things that can offer significant benefit include acupuncture, bodywork, creative visualisation and Mindfulness exercises and Somatic Experiencing.

Autogenic Therapy, as well as being a powerful stress-releasing and stress-proofing technique, includes a series of exercises known as Intentional Exercises, specifically designed to release: anger, fear, resentment, grief and even physical restlessness. As you learn to relax deeply during a course of Autogenic Therapy, certain emotions may come to the surface quite naturally. The Intentional Exercises (which are specific exercises in which you intend to release a specific emotion) are then very effective at releasing pent up emotions safely and in way that is completely under your control.

Through structural organisation of the whole body , specially of it's fascia we can lessen disorder at the unconscious level. Rigidly held attitudes can become rigid and tight muscle structures which can limit your movement .I'm not just talking about the physical movements that are involved as you reach for a ringing phone .I'm talking about the way you move through your day and through your life. Is unresolved emotional turmoil causing havoc with your digestive system? Is anger becoming confused with pain? Is fear affecting the way your feet land on the ground? Could grief have taken hold of your diaphragm?

The thoughts that you have are shaping your bodies experience of your life and if you have not already asked yourself the question- I might be the one asking you "what is holding you back?"
