There are a great many joints in your body, and any of them can hurt. This may be because of an injury, natural wear and tear, repetitive use, strain or a disease that affects the joints.

If you wish to avoid treatments such as anti-inflammatory drugs, painkillers or surgery, then there are real treatments options available to you, especially as conventional treatments may often have side effects.

Acupuncture is safe and natural, and is one the most specific therapies for pain, as it can target an exact location precisely. Special massage techniques and joint mobilization are also very helpful. In a small percentage of cases, food or toxin allergy may be a factor, and these can be assessed if required.

I work with some of the leading osteopaths, cranial osteopaths and musculoskeletal specialists in the UK, and am happy to tell you who will be most suitable for your problem.

Rolfing can address both acute and chronic joint pain. As myofascial restrictions are released, movement becomes more coordinated and refined. The body feels light and roomy and at ease. Flexibility, range of motion and joint stability are all brought back to the body. Rolfing has a real skill to get things on the move, it is after all your body’s instinct and by re-educating the muscles involved this can be achieved. Even if you feel that it is just your shoulder for instance that is in need of work undoubtedly other parts of your body have become involved. Over a course of Rolfing sessions we can give our attention to both the need for immediate relief and the root cause.
