Dr Brian Kaplan on Eating Disorders:

Anorexia nervosa, bulimia and other eating disorders are serious medical problems and far from uncommon in modern society. They are far from easy to treat but my experience in trying to treat them with Provocative Therapy has been very gratifying. Anorexia nervosa can be a deep-seated problem with many related psychological issues. For this reason, people suffering from these problems will need more than four sessions of therapy. In these cases a combination of Client Centred Therapy and Provocative Therapy is most useful.
