Year of the Yang Wood Horse starts on Jan 31st!
This year’s celebrations will mark the beginning of the year 4712 on the Chinese calendar. The spirit of the horse could be said to be the ethos of China – making unremitting efforts to improve themselves. Not since it last occurred in 1954 has such a dynamic year of change and growth been likely! This Wood Horse is the type that leaps fences in a single bound, not stuck on a carousel, so get ready and hold on tight…
The last two years have been Water, leading to deep depths of introspection and despair the world over, but now you can look forward to making the most out of given opportunities, expect good health and a year where romance and career will be in harmony.
The Chinese Animals
Legend has it that in ancient times, Buddha asked all the animals to meet him on Chinese New Year. Twelve came, and Buddha named a year after each one. He announced that the people born in each animal’s year would have some of that animal’s personality. Those born in horse years are cheerful, skilful with money, perceptive, witty, talented and good with their hands.
